Twenty-Third Sunday after Pentecost
November 13, 2022
Pastor: Ralph Wrightstone Bulletin Insert Photos Music Director: Travis Oaks
This Twenty-Third Sunday after Pentecost has no special significance in the church year, though in this year it is distinguished by what has just happened and what is about to happen. The importance of Veteran's Day, on Friday, lingers through the weekend as a heightened sense of Military Appreciation for those who have served and are serving in the defense of our country. And the results of Election Day last Tuesday continue unresolved in our minds.
Looking ahead, the church year ends next Sunday with Christ the King/Thanksgiving Sunday, to be followed by Thanksgiving Day and the beginning of a New Church Year with the Chrismon Service on the first Sunday of Advent.
But this is also the Second Sunday of the month, so the Second Sunday fellowship covered dish dinner after the church service can be celebrated as a Thanksgiving dinner, beginning a Season of Thanksgiving to extend through the end of the year...and beyond.

for links to some Resource materials for today's service.
NOTE: Each part of this online service consists of an audio file and, for most, a Link to a pdf file of "projection slides". Click on thesymbol to play the audio file under a separate browser tab or in a new window. Then select the "Bethel 11/13/22 Service" browser tab or return to this window to open the Link to the "slides". It is best to stop the playing of one Audio segment and close its tab or window before starting another. We hope that you will fully participate in the service provided here, taking the time to raise your voice or read along with the hymns and responses, and listening to the recorded messages and songs that have been prepared for you. Realize that, though not meeting face-to-face, you are virtually gathering with many others for this time of worship, celebration and spiritual refreshment.
