FLUMC Journal Memoirs

Each of the Florida Methodist Annual Conferences produces a Journal documenting the results of the conference sessions including much information about the past year in conference churches and plans for the future. One feature of historical interest are the lists of minister's and their spouse's that have passed away since the last journal was published and their "Memoirs". These "Memoirs" provide summaries of their lives, interests, duties and assignments in Florida Methodism.

This page provides links to journal "Memoirs" for some of Bethel's ministers, District Superintendents, Bishops and others that have some influence on Bethel church. Most "memoirs", which are primarily just text documents, have been converted to a form more appropriate for online viewing. Some early documents were not easily convertible (i.e. without major retyping) and are shown as pdf documents containing images of the journal pages Though most recent memoirs include a picture of the person memorialized, those have not (yet) been included in these documents.

Journal Memoirs - most of these are the result of extracting text from pdf copies of the journals. This process sometimes results in extraneous symbols and characters, some of which have not yet been excised or corrected.
