Our Pastor: Karen L. Alford

Karen L. Alford, is married to Daniel R. Alford and they have one daughter and son-in-law, Dana & Mark Montenieri, who both work for the Florida Department of Revenue, one granddaughter and her husband, Amanda & Ricky Finch, and one great grandson, Christian.

Karen was raised in Chattahoochee, Fl, and graduated from Chattahoochee High School and Chipola College in Marianna, Fl. She retired after 33 years of service with the State of Florida as a Rehabilitation Supervisor.

Karen and Daniel have been members of the Methodist Church since 2003, when Daniel became choir director at Chattahoochee First United Methodist Church. Karen then began her journey to become a local pastor. She became a certified lay speaker, and has served as lay leader, Sunday School teacher, Liturgist, and on the PPR Committee, the Administrative Council, the Board of Trustees, and the Evangelism Committee. She has served as Substitute Pastor at Forest Hills United Methodist Church in Quincy, and has also preached at Chattahoochee First UMC, Centenary UMC in Quincy, and Lake Jackson UMC in Tallahassee. She became a certified local pastor in 2013.

She and her family enjoy camping, fishing, and reading, but most of all they love serving God, and worshipping in word and song.
