Day of Pentecost

Last Sunday we celebrated Christ's Ascension at the end of 40 days with his disciples following his Resurrection. Today we celebrate the day, 10 days later, when his disciples, gathered together, received "the gift my Father promised...the Holy Spirit" that empowered them to go forth, as a body, to fulfill the Great Commission...to carry the gospel message "to the ends of the earth".... Thus, at the end of the 50 day Season of Easter, on Pentecost, this day is also celebrated as the Birthday of the Church, the body of Christ.
For those unable to attend the services at the church, a new service will be available here online before 10:00 am each Sunday morning, using the same program as the on-site service. So you may "gather" here for an "Early Service" at 10:00 or the traditional service at 11:00...actually it will be available here at any time all week. We hope that you will find it a refreshing place to come into God's house.
