Welcome to this Second Sunday of Easter...Yes, Easter, like Christmas, is more than just one day. The Easter Season extends for 7 weeks (a "week of weeks"), including the 40 days that Jesus remained on earth, followed by 10 days of waiting for the next red letter day on the church calendar. These were not idle days though as Jesus continued to reach and teach those who were to continue his work. Today's scripture relates one instance when Jesus affirms the reality of his resurrection for skeptics like the apostle, Thomas.

We are also having a service at 11:00 this morning in Bethel's sanctuary. An insert to the bulletin, provided by a link above, presents Bethel UMC's policy regarding these gatherings during the time of COVID-19 restrictions.
