Third Sunday of Lent

Today is the Third Sunday of the Season of Lent. The message today looks at a
familiar story about Jesus' encounter with a woman at a well. An interesting note
about this story is that it occurs as Jesus is leaving Jerusalem, in Judea, because the
religious leaders there were upset with him...so he was returning to Galilee where many
of his followers were. On the way there, he had to go through Samaria, where lived a
people that were outcasts from the Jews. There, at a well in a Samaritan village,
he explains that there are no cast-offs from God, but that the promise of the
refreshment of Living Water and Eternal Life is available to all that come to Him, and
many from the village heard his message and believed.

We are also having a service at 11:00 this morning in Bethel's sanctuary.

to come into God's house.
